About Us

Kyler’s Krew is a nonprofit organization that was founded with the sole purpose to help give back to those foundations, organizations, and research that have helped Kyler and our family navigate this childhood cancer journey.

On February 2023, our youngest son, Kyler, began his battle with B-Cell Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  Kyler was originally classified as standard risk ALL. While he was not able to meet the MRD levels after the induction period, he was moved to very high risk B-ALL due to test results showing two mutations.  He received chemotherapy treatments for two and a half years.  He had highs and lows throughout his cancer journey and also had to under go appendicitis surgery during that period of time.  Needless to say, Kyler had to grow beyond his years and put on a brave front to fight against all odds.

We feel blessed that his recovery stayed on track and did not require a more invasive approach.  Despite everything he has endured, Kyler has carried the most admirable attitude and outlook.  From the young age of just two, he showed an incredible understanding of what he was going through, yet he never lost his joyful spirit.  He continued being the sweet, goofy self, always finding a way to put smiles on the faces around him. There’s no doubt he is a hero, someone to look up to, and a true example of strength and resilience.  We are truly blessed to have him in our lives, and we believe he will continue to bless many others with his character for years to come.

On July 2025, Kyler rang the bell, a huge milestone and special tradition for cancer patients, symbolizing the completion of treatment and the closing of a very difficult chapter. While this was a huge celebration, the journey continues.  Over the next five years, Kyler will continue to have his blood checked regularly- first monthly, then quarterly, and eventually less often. After two years, he’ll transition into what’s called a “survivorship group”.  This group will walk with us in recognizing and managing any secondary side effects from chemotherapy as he continues to grow.

Throughout our childhood cancer journey, our family has been surrounded and uplifted by our community through faith, kindness, generosity, and love. With that same spirit that carried Kyler through his battle with Leukemia, we want Kyler’s Krew to give back to the people, foundations, and research that have supported Kyler and our family along the way.

Our mission is to provide comfort and support research for Childhood Cancer.
